According to industry standards, if the penetration covers more than 50% of the roof tray sheet, a tray flashing must be installed over the sheets to avoid ponding water and damage to the roof system. There is a high risk of water entering the building. This requires a new tray flashing to be installed.

Corrective Action:We will install a new tray flashing from the top ridge to cover the penetration. We will also check all penetration boots to make sure they are in good condition. If any of them shows damage, we will remove and replace them with a new ones. This will ensure water-tightness to the penetration.
